Growth that stopped being an engineering project

Problem: A multi-tenant geospatial SaaS platform had to cover many more jurisdictions, on a database that was already slowing it down.
What was done: The platform was re-architected on serverless AWS Aurora, with its data models and pipelines decoupled. The same technology leadership carried on through the company's acquisition.
Result: Adding a jurisdiction stopped being an engineering project, so growth was limited by the business, not the technology. Queries ran 80% faster, with 4x the capacity.

A stalled rebuild, brought home

Problem: A petabyte-scale data platform rebuild had stalled, with commitments already made to customers.
What was done: Delivery was taken over and re-planned around those commitments, while the team grew from 8 to 20.
Result: Every customer commitment delivered.

Quality checks: two weeks to one day

Problem: Every data product needed two weeks of manual quality checking before release.
What was done: Manual checking was replaced by automated checks built into the pipeline.
Result: One day per data product.

A new platform, first client in two months

Problem: A multi-tenant field platform, web and mobile, to build from nothing.
What was done: Structure and automated checks went in first, then delivery moved fast.
Result: From first line of code to its first client in two months. That platform is now Interprito Field, our own product.
